How does hypnosis work?
Hypnosis is a natural state that each of us go in an out of each and every day. Used intentionally, it becomes a tool that works through accessing our subconscious mind. This happens because the body and the mind become relaxed and calm. When the mind-body connection is established and calm, then the subconscious is receptive to suggestions and is able to draw connections and conclusions that can be remembered when people are not in hypnosis.
Contrary to popular belief, hypnosis is not mind control or anything to be afraid of. It’s actually a focused state where people can become hyper-aware, or hyper-focused. By working with the subconscious mind, people are able to tap into deep rooted beliefs that may be holding them back, or keeping them stuck in unwanted patterns.
Frequently Asked Questions
What services do you offer?
1
I offer personalized hypnotherapy sessions tailored to meet my client’s individual needs. You can expect deep relaxation, guided imagery, and a general sense of well-being after a session.
Will I be aware/in control?
2
Yes! When you are in hypnosis, you are fully in control. I cannot make you do or say anything you wouldn’t want to. Furthermore, you may be in a state of hyper-arousal, but each person’s experience is unique to them.
How long will the results last/how long until I see a noticeable change?
3
Don’t hate me when I say this, but it depends! Most people begin to feel noticeably better within a couple of days after the first session, and if you practice at home with audio tapes, the results will last longer. Typically, I recommend attending at least six sessions spread out over the course of six weeks to begin, and then attending maintenance sessions as needed.
What will I get by working with you?
4
I promise to treat our sessions with the utmost respect and care. I feel deeply compelled to support people at every stage of life in becoming their very best. I understand that life can be challenging, and I would be honored to walk alongside you and help guide you wherever you are on your journey. You can have confidence that each session is completely confidential and carefully personalized to meet your needs on any given day.

“I didn’t know what to expect initially with hypnotherapy but it has been such a wonderful experience with Annie! she has helped me process some really confusing emotions so patiently and compassionately. I’ve had some really unexpected breakthroughs that have really made me feel so encouraged and inspired as I feel us making more and more progress. She makes me feel at ease that the journey takes time and any amount of progress is still progress. And if i feel I’ve taken a few steps backward she reminds me to give myself more grace. The process of hypnosis has helped me tremendously in visualizing, reinforcing, and owning my intentions, as well as easing my anxiety, and giving me more self love. It has softened my anger and has given me more patience and pause as a mom. Little by little I feel I’m pushing the wheel in the right direction and gaining momentum. So grateful.”

“What is the definition of hypnotherapy?
I honestly believe every form of healing presents differently to every unique human. So I will just share what hypnotherapy means to me and what it has done for me.
I just want to start by saying, Annie is a light in this world and she has helped me blossom so much abundance in my life.
My understanding of hypno is a divine connection to the subconscious and the ability to unlock your inner strength through the support of another human. We talk about my goals, hopes, dreams, and problems and we find constructive solutions and reinforcements. If you are willing to believe in yourself, this form of therapy will be a blessing for you to try.”

“I was pretty skeptical about hypnosis. What I sawonline and on TV looked questionable. But I was curious and I do my best to try something at least once before I form a steadfast opinion. So, I did a session with Annie and was really surprised.
The experience was gentle and entirely within my control. I did notice a difference in my behavior and hang ups afterwards but it wasn’t dramatic or disorienting. Annie clearly knew her stuff and was always thoughtful and very clear about what to expect.
Additionally, I’m weird about voices and that would be a dealbreaker for me but Annie has a nice voice that’s facilitates immersion.
I highly recommended her services and I guarantee she’s the one you’re looking for when you’re interested in hypnotherapy.”

The Subconscious Mind & hacking it to be your
superpower
The subconscious mind is like a storage system that runs quietly in the background of your life; sort of like the programming that could run a computer. It holds all your memories, habits, emotions, automatic reactions, and deeply held beliefs — even the ones you aren’t fully aware of (or ones you don’t like!)
While your conscious mind is what you use to actively think, make decisions, and solve problems, your subconscious is more like the operating system running beneath it, influencing your thoughts, behaviors, and feelings without you even realizing it.
Think of it like an iceberg:
The small part sticking out of the water is your conscious mind
The massive part underneath is your subconscious
It shapes much of what you do automatically.
Your subconscious learns that when you wake up, you reach for your phone and check certain apps or mailboxes.
When you begin to make something familiar to you, you do so in a certain, predictable way.
When you smell a certain perfume, you remember someone special.
Basically, what you automatically find yourself doing without consciously thinking about it.
Over time, these associations build networks — almost like pathways in your brain — and the more you repeat an experience or thought, the stronger the pathway becomes. That’s why positive affirmations, visualization, and emotional healing work: they help you form new associations or rewire old ones in the subconscious.
